In the garden of an old house in dreux, france, on a warm july day. Some footsteps in the dry grass, then still. Birdsong, a little bit of wind at the start, a buzzing insect. Recorded on a stereo zoom h2, slightly filtered to take the edge off the wind sounds.

This is an ambient recorded on december 6th in san telmo market in buenos aires, argentina, with the zoom h2. We can ear tango music played by one piano and one bandoneon. Also the people walking around.

A recording of me chewing the last bit of a lozenge. First an open mouthed crunch is heard, followed by another. This transitions to closed mouth chewing noises mixed with lip smacking noises. Here is some footsteps i recorded in a forest near a village (hortiatis, thessaloniki, greece) in a hot day of summer 2019. I use zoom h5 and maybe a rode nt-g1. Raw material, no edit. I record it for a short documentary film. It's free. It's good to know if you use it in any of your work.

It's a recording of wooden door in an old village house getting closed rapidly. There is some overhead silence in this recording to allow making a smooth transision for this sample (fade-in and fade-out), because there is some background noise and little sound of me moving around. Recorded with a zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.

This clip was recorded in august 2021 during the evening in a platform near the beach in le grazie, la spezia, italy. You can hear the sounds of the waves clashing with the platform, the people walking around, cicadas in the distance and also the sound of the boats navigating into the port. It was recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). The sound was no post-processed.

Some creatures chirping at night, with city ambient noise in the background. I don't know if they are birds, or bats, or what. I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. The ambience takes place in a forest near madrid, on october, 2015. The sound is the reproduction of footsteps of a runner approaching. The effect that is produced is like a doppler effect, but i didn't change the recording. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. The sound can be used as a background resource. I wanted to capture tramp of feet on gravel moving away, as a typical sound to be used in stories.

A school bus passing from left to right with very squeaky air brakes on a quiet residential street. Recorded as i was testing a new rig on august 14, 2007 -- zoom h4 and a pair of cad m179 microphones on a home-made jecklin disk.

It's one of 7 files i recorded with water streams of different sizes. The sounds are made with water being poured from one plastic bowl to another in a bathroom. Or with a shower pouring into a plastic bowl. There are some other noises not cut-off but i think they might be usefull too. Recorded with a zoom h2's internal mics.

Some birds (i think a bunch of crows and a hawk) fighting in a tree near my house. Recorded with a zoom h4n at 96/24. Birds were about 30 feet up in the tee and i was on the ground another 30 feet away. Some light traffic and airplane sounds low in the mix.
