This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in grays harbor washington during a rare thunderstorm. The clip contains rain falling on a wooden deck and recurring peals of thunder both near and far. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6 to remove a few artifacts. Total run time for this wav file is: 8:29. This is my first upload. I am hearing impaired and new to field audio recording. I am fascinated by this art form and hearing sounds that i haven’t been able to hear in twenty years. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the quality of my work and, if you choose to use this in a project, the end use you have in mind.

The ambience takes place in a forest near madrid, on october, 2015. The sound is the reproduction of footsteps of a runner approaching. The effect that is produced is like a doppler effect, but i didn't change the recording. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. The sound can be used as a background resource. I wanted to capture tramp of feet on gravel moving away, as a typical sound to be used in stories.

Standing on the dock at halesite marina in ny on the afternoon of 7/22/19. Sounds include: the movement of a floating dock, water splashing, boat motors, sailboat masts, an overhead airplane, distant voices, birds and seagulls, insects, and passing cars. Some birds (i think a bunch of crows and a hawk) fighting in a tree near my house. Recorded with a zoom h4n at 96/24. Birds were about 30 feet up in the tee and i was on the ground another 30 feet away. Some light traffic and airplane sounds low in the mix.

It's one of 7 files i recorded with water streams of different sizes. The sounds are made with water being poured from one plastic bowl to another in a bathroom. Or with a shower pouring into a plastic bowl. There are some other noises not cut-off but i think they might be usefull too. Recorded with a zoom h2's internal mics.

Some creatures chirping at night, with city ambient noise in the background. I don't know if they are birds, or bats, or what. I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. A walk through a street market in são paulo - brazil (feira). Recorded with a zoom h4n. Stereo - 48khz - mp3 320 kbps.

Recorded using the built-in mics of a zoom h4npro (2016 edition) @ 24bit. This is a small amount of liquid being poured into a drain about the size of a silver dollar. The original recorded captured the apartment's heating system. I used noise reduction, then normalized the waveform. This sound is free to use whenever and wherever.

An entire country mansion was covered over with scaffold and sheeting to keep the rain off. Visitors were allowed to climb up the (many) metal stairs to an observation platform. I asked the helpful guide to be quiet whilst i recorded this odd environment! he obliged. Zoom h1 recorder.

Bird park: here the most prominent sounds are those of birds flying around. You can hear how wind is being pushed around by wings and of course the happy chatter between birds. There are numerous different birds that can be heard that make for an interesting ambience. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.
